Pueblos de Lucha y Esperanza have taken many actions for the release of our undocumented brothers, the Minnesota government tells us that they have no power in federal affairs and we continue to take actions because we cannot silence the voices of our brothers in prisons.

Last week and this week we had a meeting with the offices of two of our congressmen from the nation, the first was Betty McCollum and we had a meeting with one of the assistants from her office, Mr. Chao Lee.

Today we had our meeting with Congresswoman Angie Craig. We know that a single meeting is not enough but if we continue to organize actions demanding justice for ourselves, our families and our community, one day our grandchildren will see the fruits of our work.

This is a compromise.

The second district encompasses the southern Twin Cities metropolitan area and Scott, Dakota, Goodhue, and Wabasha counties. It also encompasses part of Rice County including the city of Northfield and southern Washington County including the Cottage Grove community.
